This allows you to play the latest games without updating your Wii

Step 1: Install the Homebrew Channel

This can be done in the following ways:

(If you don't have a modchip installed)

(If you have a modchip installed)

b) Installer Disc – the ISO file can be found in the Downloads section.

Step 2: Setup the SD Card

a) Download the file wii sd card.rar

from the Downloads section of the site.

b) Extract the contents of the file into your SD card.

Step 3: Upgrade Wii to version 3.2

(skip this step if your Wii is already on version 3.2) How do I check?

Upgrading from lower than 3.2

a) Launch Homebrew Channel

b) Launch the AnyRegion Changer application

c) In the application, near the bottom there is an option to update the Wii to the version 3.2 corresponding to your region.

* Important * Do not modify other options in the application if you don't know what you're doing. Doing so might harm your Wii.

Step 4: Install various WAD files

a) Download the file wii wad.rar from the Download section of the site.

b) Extract the contents of the file into the WAD folder of your SD card.

c) Run Homebrew Channel

d) Run WAD Manager

e) Install all the WAD files found.

Optional Step: Install Starfall (This makes the Wii safer from bricks)

a) Launch Homebrew Channel

b) Launch the Starfall application

c) In Starfall, install what you want. (We installed the last 3 only)

*The skip disk update option is important if one wishes to avoid accidentally updating the Wii due to an update found in new games.
